    This napkin ring is 1 and 1/2" tall and has a diameter of 2", with a weight of 80 grams, or over 2.5 troy ounces
    This napkin ring is marked for Towle and STERLING  with the number 8751 on the inside.
    It is inscribed on the exterior, U.S.S. HEYWOOD, then for the sailor F.A.HARDESTY in block letters.  The Heywood served as a troop carrier in the Pacific during WW2, and returned home safely with 7 battle stars to her credit.
