  • Condition: Excellent. All original clothing with her original earrings! There is a bit of discoloration on her panties, which I think may be washed out with a good laundry product. She apron could be brightnend up as well. The elastic on her pants has become stretched due to age.

    Description

    As a child, I love the Edith the Lonely Doll Stories.  My mother bought this doll from me at FAO Schwarz in New York City.  When I became a second-grade teacher, I wrote Dare Wright, the author of the stories, and we became great friends.  I used to visit her at her apartment in New York City.  She would always have Edith, Mr. Bear, and Little Bear there so that I could visit with them.  Never did I go home without some photos from her which she had taken for her stories.
    Over the years, she wrote many letters to me.  So now I am thinning out my collection of Edith Dolls for someone else to enjoy.
